Your Guide for Job Readiness and Career Exploration
JumpStart Success (JSS) is YouthWorks’ signature job readiness and career exploration training curriculum for teenagers and young adults. Aligned with the PA Academic Standards for Career Education and Work, which ensures that our region’s youth are equipped with the core competencies associated with entry-level positions as well as the tools to navigate their individualized career plans.
JSS can be purchased from YouthWorks and tailored to meet your organization’s or students’ specific needs.
Help Youth Prepare for Success
The JumpStart Success curriculum allows any school or community-based organization to offer comprehensive, interactive job readiness trainings and workshops to their students and clients. This curriculum provides a hands-on learning experience for individuals, or groups of young people, 14-25 years old.

The JumpStart Success curriculum is aligned to National Academic Standards for Career Education and Work. This alignment ensures that our nation’s youth are equipped with the core competencies associated with entry-level positions, as well as the tools to navigate their individualized career plans.
The JumpStart Success curriculum also puts a special emphasis on creating a level playing field for youth living in disadvantaged communities and dealing with challenges like poverty, homelessness, and living in foster care.

YouthWorks has field-tested the JumpStart Success curriculum successfully for more than 15 years in the Pittsburgh area. This powerful program has gained wide acceptance from youth-serving organizations, educators and civic leaders.
